I am looking for 1950 age appropriate tail lamp options. Mine are missing all together and not sure what would/could have come on it? avalonbum-S by Douglas Bailey, on Flickr

We use 50 Pontiac tails sold by Speedway. www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-1950-Pontiac-Red-Tail-Light-Assembly,3079.html A little tricky to install. We re-tap the mounting threads to SAE. I use a backer inside the trailer to match the panel, then attach by brass screws. Everything fits and works; you can also use spacers inside the wall to prevent dents. Please PM me for more info.

The 50 Pontiac Blue Dots would be sweet!

I like the looks of the Pontiac lights but I was thinking of something not as flush so that I could put the license plate under the left lamp with a clear window underneath for illumination. I will have to look closer at what is there when I get the skin off.

Most trailers of this era had the license plate in the middle. My Hansons have a bracket with a stick out light over it to light the plate.

That is what I have noticed but there are no holes in the skin at the middle. There is also a stain of sorts the shape of a license plate under left side tail light area.

Take a look at some of the older trailers, maybe you'll find the correct set up to copy. Some trailers did have stick out lights, roundish. With one this old, it would be great to find what was original.
