I'm trying to find something distinguishing to help date my trailer. There are a couple of things that I have noticed that may be different.
1. Marker lights on front. Mine does not have them.
2. The piece of wood under the sink, just above the cabinet door. Mine is plain. Found pics of 63's with holes in a two diamond pattern. (Will post pics.)
3. Light on closet wall facing rear (not the gas lamp). Mine does not have one. I do have one above the sink.
4. Light globes. I will post a pic of my globes. The rear globe is pretty and the front one is plain, although I've seen them switched but the pretty one has a pinkish tint to it, and a raised pattern on the glass.
5. Trim/molding. Mine has none, instead it has a cord that goes along all of the joints, even above the tile floors. I have seen molding on the 63's but I don't know if it is original.
6. Original tile. Pastel pattern, adjoining tiles are turned with pattern in opposite direction, vertical, then horizontal. 7. Bumper. I don't have one. Guessing that it is missing.
8. Decal. Shasta decal on each side (mid front), and front and back. There is a missing decal in the bottom front curbside corner. It was round. I have no idea what was on it.
Thank you for any help. If you have any other idea about identifying or distinguishing features, please let me know.

Please post pictures here of your trailer features described above. It would be good to see them in this post to respond appropriately.

1. Mine had the marker lights on the front. 2. Wood on front of sink is plain, no holes. 3. No light on closet wall. 4. Has grape vine light globes, which you can get at Menards in the Midwest, along with the original fixture. 5. The cord or welting/gimp is original. 6. Tile is original from what you describe. 7. No bumper. 8. Decals on each side. The bottom front curbside is an oval metal thingy for mobile manufacturing or something similar, I will have to look.
My Shasta Compact is a canned ham and built in 64. That's the year they changed the design to a boxy look but I got lucky.

Thanks, Shutzee. Seems the fixtures and even tile (mine is definitely original) were all the same through the canned ham years. Mine does have a Formica backsplash that is identical to the Formica on the table and counter and I have not seen that in any other pics. It could have been added. I thought the table folded down but was surprised to find that it slides out of the brackets on the back wall, they are not hinges. The table leg is hinged and has latch which I think was added. I'll post a pic of it as soon as I can get it uploaded. It was sold to me as a '63 so I guess I'll just call it that and be happy. Sorry, Vikx about not including pics last night. It was late, I was frustrated and pics didn't look so good in the dark. photo 1(1) by susieqilvu, on Flickr photo 5 by susieqilvu, on Flickr

Ross should be able to tell you what year it is by your VIN. He has a VIN database.

Actually I think you'll find that if you lift the end of the table up about 6 to 10 inches the table brackets just separate and there is no need for sliding. Unfasten the leg stop before you do this so the leg is loose.

Yeah, the latch on the leg had me puzzled until I got down under the table and looked at it. The seller had told me the table didn't come out but I knew more about it than he did. I do remember that I lifted the table out but when I went to put it back, I had to slide it in the grooves. Actually, a neighbor had appeared by this time and helped me. By this time, I had removed the carpet and unveiled the original tiles, in almost perfect condition, except for in front of the door.
Now my question is, does the table store some special way when it is taken down?

Haha. That was a question not an answer. I was hoping there is someway it stands up under the back window or somewhere out of the way.

Well someone who owns one will have to chime in about that. Usually you take them down in order to make up the bed and they just go between the seats as support for the bed or they go underneath the slats that support the bed. But some people put a receiver on the outside of the trailer too so they can just move the table outside and use it out there. I just don't know how your trailer is laid out because I've never had one like yours. My compact was a 70s model and It's been decades.

I think it should stand up flat against the wall. Now I want to go out there and try again. It's 31 degrees now and dropping. Note: That's a KFC tinfoil ashtray that came with it. I feel blessed. Table by susieqilvu, on Flickr

There is a ledge on the floor underneath the window and it props up nicely. Not sure if I can pull the beds out with it there but that will be my next attempt.
