It isn't easy to find time restoring a vintage trailer when one is a cowboy, but I started the project. Blog is here: 1957 Westerner, Santa FeLarry Mobiltec of course has already helped me greatly on the project. And gosh, why wasn't the domain name "1957westerner.com" not already taken?

Your pix bring back memories of vintage 57 Westerner rot. The PO in my case had removed all the paneling from the inside (w/o removing skins), which resulted in all the curbing being ripped out, and not replaced. Found this out after starting my project. Needless to say, a complete frame off. Will be following your blog on progress.

Yikes! Removed the paneling from the inside?! Argh! Gosh, what a mess that must have been.
I have updated my image blog.

Welcome!
Your camper is really great. I'm glad you're giving it the restoration it deserves.

Hi David, Catching up today on some older posts. You are doing nice work. Looking forward to watching your progress on your blog. I like how you added duel bed supports on the bed frame rebuild. Definitely needs it in that area. Did you post the back story on how you got the Westerner anywhere on the forum? (Edit) Never mind. I just found it. For anyone researching, here's the link vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/9604/great-find-westerner-complete-1200Cheers, Rod
