I have what I think is a 1957 or 58 Shasta (based on the body shape and the paint pattern) .... I believe the VIN is C8644 (can't find it on tongue which was replaced at some point but this is on the registration documents). The medallion on the trailer says it was built in VanNuys, CA - though originally sold in British Columbia. Unfortunately my registration says it is a 59, but I am almost sure it isn't. It think it is a 1500. Can you tell anything from my registration number? Thanks in advance for any help! Kim

Hi Kim, I'd suggest posting the VIN in this thread: Shasta VIN Model DatabaseRoss can give you good information regarding the year. Add a picture of the camper and I'm sure someone can help with identifying the model. Charlie

Thanks so much Ross - I suspected that to be the case based on the original paint design, the lack of wings (which I think I will maintain since it didn't come with those originally). I should engrave the VIN# in the new tongue and see if I can get the records corrected for the true year of production with ICBC! May be impossible but next registration I will give it a go!
Appreciate your looking it up for me!
Kim
