Love the work you have done to your trailer. If you get a chance show few more close up pictures to your rock guard? I'm needing to build one myself.

Ok so please describe how you got those aluminum parts and window frames to look that good. You must have a polishing wheel? Any advice for a guy that does not?

shastatic,
Most of the cleanup work on the windows was done by hand. I wet sanded with fine steel wool and mineral spirits. I also replaced all the seals and broken glass. It's a bit labor intensive but worth the effort.

I received the dinning canopy I ordered from VTS…finally got a chance to set it up. I was hoping for a brighter red but overall I’m happy with it. I might have too grab a chair and have a cold one under that canopy.

I noticed you put some sort of lock on the table leg to keep it from folding under at unwanted times. Would you share with me what you used?

annbclay, It's a spring loaded eye-hook…the spring loaded metal strip prevents the eye-hook from unlatching while you are driving.

Both the 57 Shasta 1500s have a hook like that.... Must have been common in the day.

You can also put it right up there by the hinge. It's not as strong but it will keep the leg from folding by itself from bumpy rides and it is enough resistance to keep people's feet from knocking it out also as long as they are not gorillas.

Oh, perfect and simple! Thank you very much! What an inspiring renovation! What brand drop in stove did you use? I've ordered 2 Wedgwood 2 burner stoves and one 3 burner, every one of them showed up where the grills did not fit into the holes on the top!

Cowcharge, Thanks! It will be up your way soon...heading to NB in a few weeks. We'll likely end up in Bangor for a night on maybe Millinocket depending on how much time we have. I realize this is almost a year old, but how far north did you end up getting? Millinocket is in my neck of the woods!
