In regard to my above post I use the ones with two blades that move in opposite directions and are held together with a small pin near the tip. Not a single blade or a rotary blade.

Yes, the electric knife doesn't cut as described. I'm not getting a straight cut and it tends to hang up without cutting. Maybe I'm going too fast??

Maybe they need sharpened. Maybe the motor is wore out and moving to slow. Maybe the knife just don't like you . I never force it, just allow the knife to do the work.

There are two blades and they feel sharp... At least they did when I cut my thumb. I'll do some experimental cuts and see if I can learn. This is not something I like to do.

I used a felt tip pen to mark the foam and then just begin cutting.

The knife cuts turkey just fine... not foam rubber tho.
