Wow. I just bought a 1953 Terry that is pretty much identical to yours, and I am now officially inspired/terrified. I think I am in way over my head. I don't have any technical skills and this dismantling and rebuilding is beyond my skill set. I had to laugh that both of you who have this old Terry Rambler have "druggie" trailers. Same here! In fact, the guy I bought it from had half of his yard planted with "special" crops, and I suspect the trailer needed to be moved to make way for more. It was absolutely filthy when I got it, and I found plenty of drug paraphernalia in cleaning it out (which was beyond gross). Even found an appointment slip for a probation officer. The trailer needs so much work- subflooring, wall framing and insulation, exterior, etc. But she's really cute. I haven't decided if I will try to do this or sell her to someone who can. I always dreamed of fixing a trailer up. But I am not sure if I signed up for too much.
PS. How do you insert photos here? It will only let me attach a link to a photo. I'd upload a pic, but don't seem able to do so.

I'd upload a pic, but don't seem able to do so. I've been taking a break from the trailer for a while. I started a new job and did some traveling but I'm hoping to finish up this winter. I think these trailers might be druggie trailers because the owners just can't take it anymore. Mine is driving me to drink. I totally understand being in over your head. I haven't messed with mine in a few months and I feel overwhelmed going back to work on it now even after a ton of hard work is done. To do list this winter Use good sections of old roof for new threshold and new front panel Rebuild stove and frig Rebuild towing lights Rebuild table Rebuild counter top Rebuild door Rebuild baggage door Finish bed Buy new roof Reupholstered seats Buy new interior lights Rebuild closet door J rail Windows Polish Bearings Tires I thought making a list would make it seem more manageable... Not.

I rebuilt the counter top and the table. They both turned out really nice. I used birch for the table top and neutral Formica for the counter. I also polished up the chrome and aluminum. I installed the old seats and had my first beverage at the dinette.

Funny, I recently did the same with my table. Your camper looks great.

Looks like we are table twins.
I used a small section of my old roof to make a threshold. It's a slight improvement over the old one. I used a brake and sheer at work.
