Hello forumites, (Please) We found a Shasta that appears to be in decent shape, and are trying to get a bit more information about it before we approach the sellers. We know it is post-1964, but are unsure on the actual model, and the year. Here are a few of outside/inside photos: There is a state of California tag on the back with the following info: M-66 S-24050 3928 DA-42102 Any help in identifying the year, and confirmation that it is an AirFlyte (and not a 1500 or something else) would be much appreciated. Unfortunately the wings are missing, as is the Shasta decal by the door (just a faded outline remains.) It also has no paperwork, which will involve paperwork at the insurance place and sending a certified letter to the last known owner (if we can even get an address.) Something we would like to do before we even approach the current seller. Any help in determining a fair value (or links to good sites to check) would also be excellent. Thanks so much, AK

Based on the info, S-24050 3928 You have most of the actual vin#. I blew up the info plate that you posted and really can't see if the last number of the model is really an 8 or a 3. It should be a 3. The "3923" is the model of the Shasta, which is a 1500.
You have a 1965 Shasta 1500, produced in Northridge, California. The full vin# is GS24050-P3923
Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the info Ross. Does it change anything if the model # is indeed 3928? I can see it very clearly in another photo I have, and it is definitely not a 3 at the end.

Probably not. My guess is that someone picked up the wrong stamp, when stamping that plate. It happens from time to time. I would double check it on the tongue of the Shasta, as well.
