Welcome tomoryan!
It's a lovely trailer, happy for you. Beware rain and dampness because it's been stored inside for so long. As pristine as it is, I'm thinking you will need to protect her before the big build. The old putty is undoubtably gone...
I think you can save most of the interior (yay!) Very interested in your progress. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, from what I can see that has to be the nicest original trailer I've ever seen. I really like the old smooth skinned trailers. Have fun with the restoration and please keep us posted.

I will post more photos soon. I ordered new tires today, when I get them I will mount them,The trailer is 140 miles away from me in Central Oregon. I will travel back over when I get the tires. All of the paperwork from the factory is still in the trailer along with some 1964 roadmaps an a 1967 Portland Oregonian newspaper.

"spent some time building a shed"....I doubt you mean the 3 months of Sundays that would have taken me. Nice storage and amazing trailer. What do you plan to do for your full restoration?

A complete reseal may be all you need. I would have to do a complete inspection to make sure and I bet you have already done that. Take an ice pick and poke it into the lower corners to check if the framing is rotted or not. Another thing you can do is to check the screws when you pull the J Rail. If they screw back in tight without stripping then your edge board (curbing) is good. Check the ones near the bottom of the corners of the trailer really well. Get underneath with the ice pick and see if you can find any rot anywhere.
A full reseal consists of J Rail, all windows and storage compartment doors, water filler, lights and anything else that protrudes through the outside skin. Pull it all, clean it, re-putty it and re-install... If all the screws tighten up nicely then your wood is all good.
What a great find. We call this a "barn find"... So far I have only run across one in my life. Welcome to the board.

I need to replace the birch panel at the roof vent, so I will have to pull some of the skin.I would also like to replace the wiring ac to the lamps and dc to the tail lights. the existing wire is the cloth covered type. The skin is held on with twisty nails.I bought a pair of Vampliers from Amazon and, they seem to work. I would like to post more pictures but I'm not sure this is the proper part of the forum for that.I have been sleeping in it during these summer nights and it is quite pleasant. I kind of want to get a feel for it and so far there is nothing I would want to change. Also all of the windows will need to get new seals .I hope I can find the correct ones

As an old house guy, I wouldn't replace the wiring only because it had cloth insulation. It'll do just fine, especially if it isn't disturbed. It's one thing if you're going to tear it apart anyway, but otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

WOW, just WOW. Thank you so much for sharing!
I agree, go slow and inspect carefully. I think you have a real gem and a great little shelter, too.
