Hey camping friends, Looking to travel to southern Indiana in two weeks to see the trees and travel through the covered bridges. Anyone make this drive? Camping Suggestions? Local brews? Anyone, Anyone?

Hi Mark, Welcome to VTT. Not sure of area or route you are traveling or what side of southern IN your going to be on. Here goes for my SE IN area. Versailles, IN has Versailles State Park that has a nice campground. It also has a covered bridge at it's entrance that you can drive through. Then there is another covered bridge close by in Guilford, IN just north a few miles on IN 1 north of Lawrenceburg, IN also. There is a nice campground close by there called Indian Springs on State Line rd. Aurora, IN has a local brewery called The Great Crescent Brewery. Lawrenceburg IN and our area is more famous for whiskey. Another nice campground in our area is in Rising Sun, IN. It's name is Little Farm on the River and you can camp right on the bank of the Ohio River. It also has a shuttle bus that runs through the campground to take you to the river boat casino next door! There is also another bridge of interest just outside of Aurora on the way to Rising Sun. It spans Laughery Creek and is the ONLY known surviving example of a "Triple Whipple" bridge. Hope this helps. If you are in the SE IN area and have any problems you need help with, feel free to contact me here by PM. I'm on here at least daily.
