Its looking great. I know its not easy with life in the military, there is always change. I'm glad to see you were able to get it road ready and your HOA gave you time enough to get her on wheels. Military life comes with it own set of challenges, moving every few years + deployments are 2 of the biggest and you still made the time to get this wee little camper back on the road GOOD JOB.

Great Job Sherri! Currently working over a '67 Compact myself. Thanks for making all your photo's available, it answered a lot of questions I had about how some parts were put together.
Bed and potty (this getting old stinks) were 2 of the modifications we wanted to make and after seeing you do what we had in mind, guess that explains it, it'll work just fine!

I have a nice aluminum openable window I want to install in the entry door of my 13' 1967 Shasta. The outer frame has no holes for screwing it to the outside. Should I drill some holes in that outer frame so that I have a solid attachment (along with butyl tape) or just rely on the sheet metal screws that hold the inner frame to the channel on the window? Seems a bit flimsy to me if I don't.
The paneling on my Shasta was 3/16". We are replacing the ceiling and back wall with 1/8" birch plywood.

The leaf spring and frame bushings were damaged and needed replacing. This took some time and to get all the pieces out of the frame and the new bushings back in we needed to rent some tools and visit some hardware stores and do some online ordering. I am still looking for some more replacement bolts. frame bushing picture before Chewed up metal piece out of the frame. What a pain! frame bushing after Leaf springs were blasted, painted, and got new bushings too. Sherri, I know it's been quite a while since you've updated this post, so hoping you'll see this... Do mind sharing where you got the bushings for the leaf springs and if possible, remember the part number? Thanks, Whitney
