I have what I believe to be the original dinette seats. The vinyl seems to be in fair to good condition. I've tried lightly scrubbing it with plain soap and water and got some of the grime off but as you can see they still look a little dirty and/or aged. It looks like grime to me. Wondering if anyone has some secret cleaning solution that won't do harm to the old vinyl or something that will rejuvenate it. If you reused your vinyl seats - did they stand up to use or did they crack, etc? The only "flaws" that I see so far is that the back seat corners are worn/torn off. Only a small portion though, and I'm thinking about putting some type of patch on them. One last thing, should I really be tearing them apart and replacing the burlap next to the springs and any other padding that might be under it? I looks like it's in pretty good condition to me. Appreciate your thoughts. 0218171519 by Corvett crzy, on Flickr 0218171519a by Corvett crzy, on Flickr 0218171519b by Corvett crzy, on Flickr Also the material appears to be a type of "linen" look with small brown flecks in the yellow, also has a linen type texture.

I once had some rust stains on a fabric car seat, from an old water jug. My sister told Me to make a baking soda and water paste and scrub it with that and the rust would come right out. I did and it did too. I don't know if it will work on the vinyl but it might be worth giving it a try on a section that is out of sight and see what it does.

I dont know any of the answers to your questions, but they look pretty decent. I hope you can get them clean enough for your taste. Try a magic eraser, maybe a piece on the underneath to make sure it doesn't damage it.

I have some stuff that I got from Our local NAPA store. It is called "Super Concentrated Keep it Green". For carpets, fabrics, paint, vinyl. Safe for any washable surface, safe for childrens and pets. I do not know if it available in Your area though, it might be a local thing. I got a jar of it to remove oil stains from the carpet of My pickup. PO had a jug of oil spill, what a mess. Been too cold to try it out though. NAPA guys said it will definitely pull out that oil. You could also try a small amount of vinegar and a mild bristled scrub brush. I dont know how the vinegar would react to the vinyl. Vinegar does a lot of my cleaning. I soaked the plastic gimp in vinegar and it didn`t seem to hurt it one bit.

We have something in Canada called Magic Boss. It is for cleaning rubber roofs, vinyl etc. It says on the bottle degreaser but was originally marketed her as a vinyl and rubber roof cleaner. Works amazing. I have had blackened disgusting vinyl come out new with it. You may be able to order it online I .

I`ll have to see if I can find that Magic Boss stuff here. Thinking it would work well on the vinyl dashboards of My vehicles. I dislike it when I scrub the dash and there is that deep embedded dust that never comes up. Makes it look like mud. LOL I don`t think it would harm the vinyl like that Armor~All stuff does.

It looks like you can buy the Magic Boss online, although I didn't go into the cart to see if there were restrictions. I can't find it anywhere else yet. I also ran across something called 303 Marine cleaner that gets really high reviews. I'm checking into that as well.
