Whitewalls are Coker bias ply. I lucked out at Les Schwab-the tire manager specializes in vintage hot rods. He helped me find the correct size and even sent a wheel/tire home with me for fit. (way too big, so we adjusted down)Jo has a very tight wheel well; these fit perfectly.
FYI: Wheels, hubcaps (VTS) and tires: $600+

Well what can we say? It's just beautiful! Hard work and patience is how trailers like this come to be. Or a heck of a lot of money to hire someone to do it and ya know what? Very few people that you can hire will put the same love into a project that you would. What a head turner this Jo must be when driving down the road. Hope you don't cause any accidents like that Vikx... Another fantastic job.

You all make my heart sing!
Jo may go to a good home as I never camp. I stay home and fix them...
The next "project" is a Cardinal with a new frame. Going to be a very interesting learning curve.

I'm swooning, it's so beautiful. And I know how much knowledge & expertise went into her in addition to the blood, sweat and tears!

This turned out so beautiful. I'm spending way too much time drooling over your photos. Hopefully nobody at work notices.
What do you use on the appliances? Are they just painted or do you have them coated?
Let me know if you need an intern or apprentice on the next project. :-)

Thanks, Coldham. The stove was cleaned and polished with Gel Coat. It wasn't in too bad of shape. The icebox was painted. White Rustoleum for the door and inside was Rusto Hammered Silver. Sink was good.
This little trailer had an interesting life: it was used to sell logging equipment to the loggers up in the woods. The PO had attached several large aluminum I beams underneath and had tons of hooks and shelves everywhere... The frame is actually fairly light, I'm surprised it held up as well as it did. When I got her, she had been sitting for several years. The Grandson had begun destruction and also taped over the screws and J rail. Unfortunately, that rotted the screw heads, so each had to be slotted with a Dremel to remove. We hauled her home in the rain with no front window. Lotsa Rotsa during the build.
JoJo turned out to be a cute little lady; you'd never know she had a bawdy past....
Thanks for the offer of help. We're pry far apart, tho.

Thank you. We all love these vintage trailers; it's a pleasure to be out there in the rot and dust...
