Greetings, everyone. I have removed, dismantled, and polished all the aluminum on the front window of my '71 Shasta Compact, and am ready to put it back together. I have all new seals, and have figured them out except the glazing channel. The window is a Hehr 4900 2-paned jalousie window. My question is, do I cut the gasket material in 4 individual pieces, or do I wrap it all in one piece around the window glass and somehow cut the corners so it will fit back into the frame? I've made enough mistakes already in my attempt to restore this little camper, so I'm learning to slow down, ask questions, and get it right. I appreciate any input. thanks!

Bobhaven,
Do you have any photos of your window? Most of my windows don't have a glazing "channel". If you post a picture or two, we can help you.

Thanks for the replies. It is exactly the gasket Ten is showing. Keeping it one piece and notching it makes sense- I've just begun the process of refurbishing my camper, and have already jumped the gun on a couple things, only to have to go back and re-do them, so I'm really trying to think things out first before going head first into anything. I can already tell this forum is going to be a blessing. thanks!
