Looking for info and experience on titling a home built camper. I know that it's fairly easy to title a home built utility trailer but this is a different situation.

Actually, according to the lovely people who work at our BMV here in Marietta, all you need is to have the trailer weighed and have the person at the scale fill out the form available at BMV, and follow up with a safety inspection by Highway patrol and you'll be good to go. Good luck.

Even for a camper huh? That's good news.

Apparently so, although it may depend on which 'lovely person' you happen to get for help. I've been frustrated with Ohio BMV for not recognizing or accepting Scotty's VIN because it doesn't have enough #s even though back in '69 they only had 9... I really don't want to have to drive to Columbus to speak to a live person, so I may go the homebuilt route.

I can sympathize, I've got a couple late 60s to late 70s trucks that make them scratch their heads. Drives our insurance agent batsy too. But I just remind them that old vins weren't standardized like late model vins.
