By the way the heater is usually good and just needs cleaning most of the time. If it works it's worth $300 to $500. Open up all the copper lines at all junctions and disconnect the lines from everything... then blow them out with a compressor. Also blow out all the junctions.

Just Bill Does that appear to be the original paint color on the exterior? It seems like some of the Trotwoods were painted similar to yours back when I was a kid, but travel trailers weren't my main interest then.

Thanks for the info on how to measure a trailer. I guess I have a 16 foot instead of a 14 foot. Cool!
Mobiltec, will do as advised in clearing lines and junctions and then giving them a "dishsoap" test before firing up heater. My flaring tool seems to have gone AWOL. Trying to line up all tools needed to do each little project. Unfortunately, my tools of choice today were a chop saw, angle grinder and sawsall!
Bigbill, you know, I just don't know. On the rear and lower portions of front and side there doesn't appear to be any paint under the fairly fresh (last 10 years) green that is there. Makes me think it was shinny low and maybe white up top. But, the rims seem to have a green that sort of is close to the green paint on body and that has an old, old, old look to it. In hitting the tongue with a power brush looking for a vin # I found all sorts of colors. Green, red, black, white and Lord knows what others!
Working on the back corners today R/R some rotted wood. This thing is a Time Burglar! Every little thing I go to repair seems to end up revealing more that needs repairing!
