The valve did clean up nicely. It is almost an exact match to the one in My Duo therm furnace. I was online and tried to find a capillary for Mine as that was the part that had gone out, no luck with that so I just got the new valve. It works as it should. If You look in that supply house, You might be able to find a thermostatically controlled valve that would fit and work on Your furnace.

What I meant was to replace the entire thermostat not just parts, and I was talking about the warranty on the new thermostat not the whole heater.

mrmarty51, could you post a picture? You did manage to replace your valve parts? I looked on the website you suggested and wasn't sure which part to look for. To replace the whole thing with a thermostatically controlled valve would be just fine I suppose. Thanks
