They're selling wine in weird little boxes as well as aluminum cans! The boxes are like 1/2 a bottle or so and look like a tiny milk carton...

Got the roof on today, it was an amazing feeling when everything fit correctly, on the Compact we had problems with getting the roof fitted right, so I breathed a sign of relief this one went on easy. Still need to put the front and back on. But I didnt get off easy all day, trying to get the retainer clips out of the front window was quite the task, some had taken them out in the past and caulked a huge bead of caulk and put them back in, yay! so I bent the clips some, but I think they are salvageable but I wont know until I try to reinstall. The glass wont come out, Im going to have to break the windows more(they are already broken) then pry the leftover glass out of the caulk, what a mess. I also cleaned the dirty skin and started around some of the windows, more work tomorrow.

Which gasket for the side front window did you use from vintagetrailergasket.com? Are you happy with the fit? I like the shelf in the heater space.
I meant the front window, outer sides are broken. I haven't got to the front side windows yet, I'll let you know how that goes when I do. When you get a chance, send me the link for the gaskets that fit both front and side. I'll be looking for them eventually.

its a hot one today, 96 degree high with 51% humility "feel like 106" according to my phone. Yesterday we got the roof, front and back skin on, everything lined up perfect. Today so far we have cleaned up and put on all the J and awning rail. Were starting to put on other random things that will be painted then we decided to break for an early dinner and cool off session. Ill post a pic tonight.

That's the day I quit. There IS a reason that beer comes in bottles...but then, it's the same reason wine does. I would be scared of wine in lookalike milk cartons, might put the wrong one in my lunch box.

Today we hooked up the 30A inlet, filled any holes with bondo and sanded, shined the Z stripe and installed the door. Forgot to take a pic after the door was on. All those spots of blue tape are spots someone decided to screw holes, and there are just as many on the street side. The tape was just so we didnt forget any while putting the bondo on. It's looking great Mel! Do you want me to delete the wine box discussions?

Yesterday I sanded down the camper and applied some primer, then after my husband got home we installed the flooring and trimmed it out. Its too hot and humid to paint today. This morning we installed the fan. IMG-4174 by Mel L, on Flickr

It always surprises me that people used these campers for decades without shelves in the closet.
It's really looking good.
