That does seem like a good deal.
They just show the stand. I wonder if this is the exact unit vikx had in a photo attached to the wall?

This is the suggested model. A quick run of the video makes me wonder how well this can possibly work in a 16-18 ft. camper if it is mounted and points only in one direction.

These little Wave 3's will COOK YOU OUT of a canned ham! LOL. Seriously, unless it's freezing out, you will turn it off at night. $172.50 is a great price. For larger trailers, some might consider the Wave 6.

I wondered about it after seeing the part about the radiant heating, since it seems not to heat the air. It does make sense it would work well in a small space. I still have this on my wish list for the Airflyte.

For larger trailers, some might consider the Wave 6. "Flush mounted and hung on 3 sturdy screws..." So there is no space needed behind the unit and it doesn't damage the nearby panel?

I believe I read somewhere that the Wave 3 can surface-mount and effectively throw the heat outwards without need for any clearance space. I think (that is dangerous all by itself...) that there is a wall mount protector that recesses into the wall available and recommended for the Wave 6 and Wave 8.

Here's a pic of my older version Wave 6 installed with the recessed wall mount trim: These can indeed be safely surface mounted on a wall also. The manufacturer specifies a minimum height off the floor and a minimum unobstructed space in front of the unit. I don't recall anything about a wall mount protector but a dust cover is recommended as they are sensitive to dust.

Unfortunately nothing comes up in google for a recessed wall mount trim on the wave3. Didn't the wave6 turn the camper into an oven?

If it starts to get cold, I fire it back up. No big deal. Rarely use it during the summer months, mostly for winter camping.

The cabinet door idea is workable, yes. However, the corrugated yellow "flex" line is not safe nor legal in an RV. A rubber hose is better, but still not up to code in some states. Do your research.

I knew about the flex hose, no way I was gonna use that, but I liked the location better than on the side of the wardrobe by the door. This way it'll be more centralized and warm the trailer more evenly I thought. Plus it'll be out of the way when not being used and I can have Sam build a shoe holder on the wardrobe instead 😁
