Hi,
Any tips on removing the adhesive from old window tinting? All of the film has come off leaving the adhesive behind.
Thanks in advance!

Had this peeling tint of my s10 window. Lacquer thinner, soaked paper towels and held it against the adhesive. Repeat as thinner dries. When adhesive gets gummy, scrape the bulk of it off with a razor scraper wiping razor clean after each pass. Then clean paper towels with more thinner to get the leftover haze off the glass.
Gloves recommended, as well as not smoking.
This worked for me getting tint off a 4 piece sliding back window on my truck. GoofOff may work also. I didn't try it. I buy lacquer thinner by the gallon and GoofOff by the ounce so I used what I had more of.

I had the same problem with a pickup I bought. Went to WalMart and bought a window tint removal kit (not very expensive, but I can't remember how much). The solvent in the kit did the job very well.
