My current project is a 1973 1400 Shasta. The po used house paint on the exterior which I am currently stripping. I am currently planning the exterior paint job. I am wondering what the thoughts are about painting the exterior trim and the J channel. The J channel in particular is not in great shape. I am not restoring this camper but I'm refurbishing it
Thanks,
Paul

A lot of people paint the jrail. I painted them on the camper in this thread. vintagetrailertalk.freeforums.net/thread/5166/paint-camper-200?page=1 With that said if they're in good shape after they are cleaned I'd rather not have them painted. But that's very subjective. Windows and eyebrows always look better polished, in my opinion. Sharp If you decide to paint anything with aluminum showing make sure you get a primer for nonferrous metals. More about that you'll find in the thread above.
