The front window of my Shasta '67 has jalousie windows on the side of the center glass window. I noticed the window would not close tightly and saw the gizmos that attach the handle to the window were missing. As I tried the other window, those gizmos also came off. My husband couldn't tell if they had been riveted on or if they were welded. He thought it looked like pot metal. Has anyone else had to replace these? And what are they? Thanks for your input. I've looked at mobiltec's videos and they don't address the type of jalousie window I have. The handle is in the center of the window not on the side like most jalousies. Just to take off the screen involves taking apart the handle mechanism. They never made anything easy. I'll check out supply stores for rivets. I just didn't know what the gizmo was. We've temporarily named the trailer The Albatross. It just goes on and on.....

Are you sure those are Jalousie windows? I've never seen ones with the crank in the middle of the window. To open them do you turn a handle multiple times, or do you lift a lever type thing? I wish vikx, ten, vintagebruce or mobiltec would come look at this cause I didn't know they made Jalousie windows with a crank in the middle and I'm confused now.

I've seen those types of windows be called awning windows, that's what most of mine are, but my trailer is 10 years older than yours and has levers that push the window out. And yes, in order to change the screen, take the glass out etc. I have to remove the rivets from all the windows because I have bars that run down the middle of mine just like yours.
Make sure and take one of the rivets that came out with you to the store so you get the closest size. I was told that the size used in my windows isn't made anymore so had to go with the next closest size.

My 68 Starflyte has the double windows like that. I don't consider them jalousies; awning windows sounds OK to me...
