Bought a new to us Loflyte yesterday. I think this is the VIN - T8163. Label says made in Grapevine TX. Any idea as to year? Thanks!
This avatar is a pic of our first Shasta. I have no idea how I got this pic to post, but maybe Ross can tell me what 1974 model it is 😀

KarenSorry for the delay, we took a week off and went camping. You have a 1967 Shasta Loflyte, born in Grapevine, Texas. As for your avatar picture of your Shasta, can you tell me what the overall length of the trailer is? The Shasta's from the mid 70's and up, with the plastic fender skirts, usually use the length to determine what the model will be. If I can see a better curbside picture of your Shasta, I can figure it out. Ross

Ross its not a 1967 model. a 1967 had bargman tear drop running lights with no clearence lights. also the 1967 didnt have the word loflyte under the shasta logo. they had applied for the loflyte trade mark but hadnt received it untill later that year. they started adding clearance lights and non tear drop running lights in 1968 and after.

Looks like have been doing your homework. Maybe the one thing that you didn't know or possible understand is, these camper chassis's were assembled and stamped with their vin#'s, sometimes months in advance. They are no different than an auto manufacture....produced the end of one year and shipped out to dealers the following year. All I can tell any one, is the year and plant in which a particular Shasta was produced.
