At first I typed nose burner, haha! Anyway, I have thought I had a Humphrey gas light all this time. That's what everyone called it... hmm. Well it's a Veritas! My ceramic burner nose was leaking. I took it apart and there was chip in the ceramic where it meets the seal. So I bought one (for a Humphrey) from amazon and the seals. It's the same one that VTS sells. I thought I'd change to a tie on type rather than the preformed type. Dummy me, it doesn't fit and if I had just compared the two, I'd have realized that. And it's not because I changed types, it's because it's the wrong brand. My burner nose is a for a pre-formed mantle and is threaded on the inside where it screws on and is a much smaller diameter. So the hunt began. I found a Falk burner nose, mantles and seals (those buggers are expensive) at this site, no shipping, very FAST shipping and reasonably priced (except for the seals). BTW, the company that bought Veritas changed the name to Falk (thank goodness I all ready knew that). Here is the correct (I hope) burner nose (Please note the the Humphrey or Falk preformed mantles will fit either brand.) Here is the Humphrey sold on Amazon and VTS, it comes in preformed and tie-on This company also sells the lights (there is one on Amazon). The knew ones have a slightly differently look but look more like vintage than the new Humphreys They even have a double one Hope this helps someone and if anyone needs a HUMPHREY tie-on nose burner and seals, I have them new, for sale.
