Anyone have experience with the Goal Zero Yeti solar generator? Thought about getting one to run my dorm refrigerator when not at a campground or where I have access to shore power.

I have not used one, but don't count on it for operating the fridge for long. Inverters need a battery bank instead of one battery and a constant charge source. Solar power is great for less greedy items, but doesn't keep up with a big draw.

I love my Honda IU 3000 ES. It is a little heavy to haul around, but is so quiet and works so well. I have used it for the last 4 years for all camping in the boonies. It handles a refrigerator and other appliances with ease.
