Haven't installed the j rail yet since the aluminum is all polished and did not want to get paint or clear on the trim.

Well that can still be done after you button it all up with the metal all stapled down, then paint, then install J Rail. I'm not getting why you didn't finish off the metal first. What am I missing here?

I used my Dewalt electric drill and a set of polishing buffs from Eastwood that chuck into your drill, and Blue Magic metal polish, available from any auto parts store. The window frames that were really grungy I sanded with 100 grit to remove galling, then 0000 steel wool and then polished with a felt bob.It is not difficult just be prepared for nasty black residue everywhere!

The wide white sidewall tires arrived yesterday--we bought them from Diamondback--and it will be a few days until we are able to get them mounted and installed. The Bargman L-66 door latch is at Speed and Sport plating in Houston, and we are4 still waiting for the chevron escutcheons (for the drawer pulls) to be completed by a local sheet metal shop. The end is in sight! We are having a local shop wire up the 12V exterior lights, and the exterior will be done very soon, leaving only a few details to be wrapped up on the interior...and then the shakedown cruise!

txoil, that is a beautiful trailer, great color! And I LOVE how you painted your tanks! Thank you! I have posted completed photos of it in other threads, but we love it. First time camping in it a few weekends ago was at the Texas Renaissance Festival and we had other campers almost lined up to look at Tallulah Belle- they could not get enough. There is a HUGE amount of interest in canned ham campers right now!
