UPDATE!!!!(LOL) Complete back plate brake assemblies to arrive by lunch tomorrow! I can't wait to see them. Boy, that will cut down on the clean up too. Hope the studs align with the axle flange holes. Anyway, if they work, I'll have a bunch of spare brake parts for me! Might as well leave the old parts soaking till spring just in case. I'll start soaking and heating the back plate studs now for removal. Hope to get them to break loose clean for removal and prep axle flanges for the new brake assemblies tomorrow. Getting back to the wood framing today. I hope to install new plywood behind the curb side closet today (without it's removal) and finish door repair too. Everybody have a great day today!

Soup I was talking about the leaf springs LOL.... Sorry about that. I should have been a little more explicit in my question. In the photo I could see that the leaf springs are a bit on the rusty side. Mine broke right behind the eye of the first spring in the rear where the shackle is. So the trailer dropped down on the tire in the wheel well. So both spring packs and all the hardware was replaced after that little incident.
Interstate 5 is riddled with huge pot holes in the number one lane and now if I am on that highway I just stay in the number two lane and even use the number three sometimes. The pot holes are huge. Some are 5 feet diameter and 4 inches deep or more. When you hit one it makes you cringe...

I got ya mobile! For leaf springs, I will have to refer gingersnap to a shop in Cinti. called "Dent Spring Service" in Sharonville OH off Mosteller Rd. I don't do leaf springs and they are the best. Looks like I don't do backing plate brake assemblies on Lowflytes either! At least not until it's all done otherwise. I can't get under it right now to even get to behind the backing plates, (too Low of a Flyte and can't jack it up at all, until walls and roof are complete) so brakes on hold until rest of framing and walls are finished. Oh well, These are the brakes...Break it up, break it down...Say ALRIGHT!!!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyYqkRv0D5gCheers! Side note; Blondie had the first rap video ever to broadcast on MTV and it kind of sounds like she had been listening to Kurtis Blow; www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHCdS7O248g

Wow, I mean WOW! I can't wait to see this in person! It's one thing to look at the pics, but to see progress in person, well, it's pretty amazing. On a side note, the Tristate area (Cincy, SE Indiana, and N Kentucky) is under the gun for a bit of bad weather today. I know Soup and I both have our eyes on the sky and crossing our fingers that his nice tent (and the Lowflyte) can withstand the forecasted 30-35 mph winds. I guess we will see…

Just came in for lunch. Parked my car hauler down the curb side (Side facing into winds NE) Will be parking station wagon down the street side (NW corner of tent). Tent; Checked all anchor straps, secured bottom tarp strips to tent, secured them to the ground, tied boat rope all between side legs inside in "X" top to bottom and back to help support the side sails (side walls), added anchors to top at garage. It's rated at 30mph with no walls attached. Will have to buy beer this afternoon and get a good seat to watch the tent/kite fly later. If it takes the tent it will snatch off the loose old roof skin on top of the camper too. Good Times!

Soup I have my Shasta up a couple feet off the ground on jack stands so I told the weatherman to cancel the high winds for tonight. I explained that we didn't need them at this time. Now we will see if he listens or not.

Now we will see if he listens or not. You have a weather-man? We have bubble headed bleached blonde females with boob jobs and use the word LIKE a lot. They don't seem to know the first thing about weather but they sure would look good on a calendar hanging in the shop.

I was going to ask what they like but probably shouldn't. We have both male and female weather people here and my wife doesn't allow me to notice the things you listed, so you no know I wouldn't.

I guess we will see… www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkD-xIUYPq8Steady as she goes! Tent still here with minimal damage. Shasta fine. Rushed it yesterday trying to get curb rear skins on before storm. Did it! When the wind blows it blows rain inside the tent between the roof and walls so I wanted to skin the curb rear to keep all that new wood somewhat dry. So the only part of all that nice new wood you'll see now in person will be inside the back of the closet! Miss a day and you miss a lot! All the pretty framing has now been insulated, Stanley steel brackets added for support through out wall structure, aluminum 3M cold weather tape on insulation edges to vapor seal, and skinned! Got the rear curb corner reframed before skinning too. Still have to install a couple panels of insulation above back window, but we can get to that from the inside when we do wall paneling. Will be starting demo on back wall today after repairing the door and getting it back together. Sorry gang, not many pics today due to too much rain on camera not a good thing So I could only get a couple of pics right when I was running out of daylight, the rains stopped for a couple of min. so I grabbed the camera. Not much to look at though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J2QdDbelmYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=ikX_2gJDRts

Nice work…kind of miss having that project. Thanks for saying but nothing like the work you do! I'm so not worthy LOL You might as well get another project IF you can find one. Probably wont be an aluminum ribbed Barth but what the hey! I've been looking for the last 2 months, can't find anything around here cheap enough for me. Get a compact same year as your camper and build it like yours for a mini-me.
