Wow, you are right, those seams are not readily apparent at all. Any chance for a close-up pic of the seam? Yeah, my pic you posted above I think is made up of 4 skin panels seamed together. At least I think it's 4...the seams are so smooth and clean I never even paid attention to them. They are kinda like the old vintage seams that stick up above the skin surface but they are on the underneath side of the skin so the smooth side is out. There is also some sort of seam sealer that is pressed into the seam as it is being formed. The white coating on the outside of the skins is pretty thick, very glossy and seems to be pretty resistant to scratches. But take care during install could still possibly scratch coating if care not taken during install. Like when trimming with electric shears, I use wide mask tape on the side of the cut that is staying on the camper so the shears don't leave scratches along the cut. The new skin material is also a bit thicker than the vintage skin material. I'll get a couple of pics for you later this morning of a seam and post them here for you in a bit. Give me a couple hours and they will be posted here on this thread. Okay?

Soup your video brought back memories of pipe welding back in the 60s. We had a fellow that thought he was the best, smartest, ect around so one day me and another guy were welding pipe standing in about 18" of water using Hobart diesel drive generators set at 225 amps. If you have never done this before the secret to not getting shocked is to grab the electrode holder quickly and firmly so there is no gap to start an arc between your glove and it. So we had stopped for lunch and this wonderful person mentioned above was bugging me so I ask him if he thought he was man enough to weld that pipe standing in the water, he said if I could do it he could do it better. so we waded out to the station and I snatched the electrode holder off its spike and reached it out to him. He lightly took hold of it and that diesel opened up and he was dancing with his arms straight in the air, me being the nice young man that I was I reached up grab it out of his hand the diesel slowed back down and two of us helped him to a chair. To my knowledge he never found out what happen to him we all just told him he was wimp or something like that. But we never had to listen to him again. The moral of this is be nice and never mess around with someone who might know more than you. My wife said I was mean and could have killed him looking back now she was probably right but at the time it seemed like the thing to do.

At least we got 2 good work days in before years end. Where does one get rust converter and when should it be used instead of removing rust and repainting? Welcome to VTT Drake! It's called several different names and can be had anywhere that auto body repair supplies are sold. Several brands and different strength and prices. Believe it or not, I get mine at Walmart auto dept for less than $10.00 for a small bottle next to auto body repair items. When to use it was today! I was needing something fast to take care of rust before installing floor section. It's supposed to rain tonight and temps are dropping from 45 back down to 25 degrees tomorrow. This stuff stops rust in it's tracks and converts it to a paintable primed surface in 24 hours. Longer if cold out. I've used it for years on classic car floor boards and any where else I'm working with rusty steel. Check the before and after pics posted above^. It keeps a bluish tint on the rusty areas till it dries totally. When completely dry, anywhere there was rust will be a very hard black coating ready for primer or leave it as is. When trying to pack in 2 weeks work into 2 days, it's the way to go. Best thing to do is apply at least 24 hours before priming and painting. I always use it anyway B4 priming and painting. Wire brush the rust as smooth as possible, clean/blow dry, then brush on. If project strings out over months, do all steps again before priming and painting. It's not meant as a substitute for frame off sand blasting restoration and refinishing but it does stop the rust and is good to do before putting new floor on top of frame rails. The frame rails will still need painting and the primed floor wood will still need rubberized undercoating on the out side and finished on the inside at a later date. I've even used the stuff on our 63 compact all over the frame, after the sand blasting dude left. Like a primer for the primer! It takes care of the small places like around welds and such. Rust Killer!!!!!!!!!! LOL I think the word is "encapsulates" the rust, but sometimes is called rust converter. Enjoy the site Drake Soup
