1966 Shasta 1500 parked in the driveway in it old clothes. I wasn't looking for a Frame off Restore but something I could use for me and the grandkids and not break the bank. Headed out For a little fun! The trip turned out very nice for the shake down cruise. It's a work in progress, but at least it's dry inside and the A/C kept us cool. I installed the A/C unit so I didn't hurt the rear window and could change it back to original if I want to at a later date. Thanks for all the inspiration to this site and the old shasta site for the tips, tricks, and the pros on the these sites that give so much of themselves. Hangin Out!! Whaa Who!!

This is the way to do it. I didn't finish my Westerner until five years after I purchased it and then sold it emediately when it was finished LOL. Love the nice big box step. The big platform will keep you safe going in and out.

Me and wife were camping a few years ago and she stepped out the door and here shoe slide off of the step and it was wondered she didn't die! She hit the base of her skull right on the ledge of the door and made her see stars. It scaried me to death. It should have killed here but luckily she's hard headed ;-). No pun intended; well, maybe a little. hehe

Someone will go down on the back of their skull if the step does not have a big enough foot print. Thank you for posting this super.

It was in another camper we use to have but it was a really bad fall. She hit her elbows first and then her head but if she hadn't hit her elbows first I would hate to even think about what may have happen. Small steps are widow makers for sure. I'm even thinking of making one a little bit bigger just for the safty and the storage it gives you. I also put my jacks in their since they are the first things you need when you pull into the camping spot. I've got the set-up time down to about 20 - 30 minutes max.
Moblietech Thanks for all of your videos you take the time to post they are a great help to everybody!!

mntrailer Thank you and glad you like it. It is still a work in progress but I'll getting a little closer to the end or is there really ever an end to these trailers? I don't have great interior photo's but here is a few. I've got new cushions for the seat sbut the flooring and panelling is original. I'm going to paint the top half this winter and maybe repaint the bottom but this most important thing to me is being able to use it spring and fall seasons.

That looks like a VTS hand water pump on the sink.

Mobiltec Thats the original hand pump and it still has the original water tank under the street side front dining bench. I have everything working on the trailer running lights, interior, drains, and plumbing etc.. Got a big ol' futon mattress in the back that sleeps better than my bed at home. The grand kids love the loft above back bed. Here's my bud ready and waiting on go!!

Well that's even cooler. Shows that the VTS is a good match for our vintage stuff.
Looks like a happy face up there.
