Hi again. Am restoring a 1964 FAN and I am almost done with the electrical. I have a 1500 watt inverter, separate 45 AMP converter/charger, 2 6v golf batteries, and a Power Dynamics panel with both AC and DC. I do not want to spend the money on a transfer switch. So my question is: Can I wire my inverter into the distribution panel on a breaker? I know that its a no-no to have two power sources at the same time, so I figured I can wire with breaker into AC side of the panel, then just turn inverter breaker off whenever I use shore power. And turn Converter breaker off when I am off the grid. Can this be done? Recommended?
I know I could plug my shore plug directly into my inverter but that won't work as well for me. What is your advice oh wise ones? Thanks,

Just for safety's sake, I'd install a switch that definitely prevents both supplies being used at once. A simple mechanical switch shouldn't cost much.
