Hey great people out there in crazy camper land....what the heck is the name of the lubricant used on your awning rail to make the awning slide on easier?

Personally I would make sure the c-rail is very clean, and opened enough to easily accommodate the awning "rope" without binding. If anything I may use dish soap....It should at least clean up easily....

After the rail is clean, a spray can of silicone comes to mind as well...

I've always heard from bicycle people that silicone lubricants become abrasive over time...
I wonder how 3M Wire Lube would work? They say it's an easy-cleaning, non-staining and water soluble polymer, and comes in a squirt bottle at HD, so it would be easy to squirt in the track, and easy to wash out.
Judging by how dangerous it is to Armor-All a motorcycle seat, it might not be a bad alternative either.

I use white lithium grease after cleaning the track very well. You only need a bit, and I've only had to do it once in over a year.

I was told Jig a loo was or will be banned from Ca because it 'is known to cause cancer' and there is/will be no more sales in that state for it...

If it is a vinyl welt on your awning that won't slide along the rail smoothly, then Blaster Dry Lubricant can be sprayed in the awning rail channel and on the welt too. If it is a fabric covered pull cord that you are dealing with, then make sure the c-channel is clear of debris, clean, and that all dents and sharp edges are repaired before sliding the awning through the rail. I use a test tube brush and some soapy water to clean out our awning rail.
