Well, work on My '61 Dalton, aka the Goblin, is moving slowly. Prior to working on the frame repair, Scott is packing the bearings, and looking for a spare rim from his pile of junk, er, I mean, his priceless collection of vintage parts. Since you all seem to dig photos, I thought I would share with you some of the more interesting specimens from where I live. This first is one I saw last year in an empty lot in Pam Springs. I don't think it was part of modernism week. Unless it was a special edition of Modernism Week Meets American Truckers™. This one was pretty far afield for me, most are within a 15 mile radius of where I live. Stay tuned, I've got lots more.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. On the road between PS and Julian there is a vintage trailer resort. We stayed there off season several years ago and were able to spen hours just snooping around the trailers. Some are really nicely done, some are junk, but it was fun lookin, and dodging the wild turkeys.

Tears of grief, tears of laughter, or tears of joy (that it isn't yours), whatever, better grab a box of kleenex. This one is about a mile from my place: I do rather admire the engineering that had to go into into this though.

MtPalms,
Do you know anything about the Spartan with the Trolley top? I wonder if that was added on for a person that was really tall, or was it specially designed. Did you look in the windows?
Nice finds!

I think that Spartan belonged to Shaquille O'Neal originally.

CL ad will read Vintage 40's Trolley top for sale, no, we mean just the trolley top! All the hard work below it has been done, with just a hammer, screw driver and a weekend of steady work you could be camping in style. These trolley tops bring $100,000 when restored. The first buyer with $9,999.99 cash can take it home with them!!

So I guess the framing really doesn't have anything to do with structural integrity does it.... By the way you stick a pole under each corner and you got yourself a nice nostalgic patio cover.

Just think Mo, how much could you have saved on that new fancy trailer portico in your videos if you had followed you own advice? Mark

I used to ride my bike past this little toaster nearly every day, but it vanished about a year ago. I believe someone put tires on it, painted it in a retro theme and sold it for $15k.
