Hi, I deleted my pics and left the link. I was a little uneasy about posting pics of other people's trailers and in light of the the recent discovery of pictures being used in ads without owner's permission, I thought it was best to take them off. They can be viewed but not copied in my Flickr album. Thanks.

Hey SusieQ who was that little gal hanging on the back of the tall handsome lad standing in front of the teardrop being towed by a jeep in the slide show on another post.

I don't know Bill. Looked like me but that boy just can't be my little boy. Twelve years ago he was only 4lbs 3oz.

If he keeps growing you may have to put a two foot extension on that tear drop to have room for his feet. Just think 12 now 40 tomorrow. My baby will be 48 this fall and it seem like only yesterday I was single with no children, time flys when you are have fun with the ones you love.

I trust my fellow rally goers will check out the Hiawassee thread if they check no other. So with one wide stroke of the brush.. Friday nights Salad Recipe and I was very flattered that so many wanted it. (Thursday night recipe to follow) Hop Sings’ Oriental Cole Slaw 16 oz. pre-packaged Cole Slaw ( the type that has a little packet of the dressing mix included) 1 pkgs. beef flavored Ramen noodles soup 1 bunch chopped green onions 1 c. toasted slivered almonds 1 c. sunflower seeds 1 c. light olive or vegetable oil 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. red wine or sherry vinegar 1 small can of sliced water chestnuts (fluids drained away) Mix oil, sugar, vinegar, and beef dry packets from Ramen noodles into a pan and heat on the stove top until dissolved. Break up Ramen noodles and add them when you pull the mixture from the heat. You are suppose to refrigerate overnight (this mixture) as this will let the noodles hydrate, but I prepped this stuff in the morning and took it to our Friday Night Potluck. Toast almonds by baking or sautéing in butter until brown. Mix with Cole slaw, onions, almonds, and sunflower seeds. (we use all the sunflower seeds the night before so I used a handful of dried cranberries) Pour oil mixture and the salad dressing from the coleslaw pack in and mix it all together. You add a can of slice water chestnuts too, and they really add to the dish as well. I forgot to add them and found them back at our camper that night.. I add the coleslaw dressing as I mix and go along. Sometimes I use all of it, many time I do not. It can hide the happy flavors if you’re not careful. And these ingredients vary according to their texture and volume while mixing and of course on how many people you are serving. So be careful, objects in your mirror may be closer than they appear.. Bone’appa’teet! Happy Campers

Many of you knew that my husband was undergoing experimental drug therapy, while we were at Riverbend, and that he didn't feel so swell. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We are rejoicing today, as his recent blood work determined that he is cured! He will continue taking the medicine the entire 3 months, and over time regeneration will occur. I thought many of you might have this bookmarked. Kristi

That is great news!
I really enjoyed the weather and great company. Since we have two mobile toddlers we learned some valuable lessons about scheduling for next year. It will be a less is more, just hang out with good friends gathering/rally. Hope to see you all there!

Hi all! I'm organizing a one day/evening Americana festival at my family's beautiful 35 acre farm just 10 minutes outside of Athens, Georgia. The festival will have multiple country and bluegrass bands playing. We host several high end weddings at our farm venue a year and the website is www.cloverleaffarmevents.com I'm looking to rent about 10 vintage trailers for friends and family to sleep in. My budget is $100 per night and I can provide insurance for the trailers as well. These trailers will be treated with the utmost respect and admiration I promise. Date of this event is July 19. Please let me know ASAP if you are interested. Thanks so much! Libby Rose
