While deciding to repair or replace my windows I found this blog that shows nice close up pictures of Hehr windows being restored. Nice step by step. However does not show repairing the catch if broken. I have two windows that prior to being removed came open and would not stay closed during transit so my first thought was to replace. I think I will try to fix them first because if I replace they will become Jalousie and all will need to become Jalousie. The front and curbside window seemed fine. The rear was a piece of plexi. Here is the link if anyone is interested: aluminiumidler.blogspot.com/2011/04/hehr-standard-window-restoration.htmlLauri

What ever you do don't pop rivet your frames together like he did. Vintage trailer supply has new screw kits otherwise any future glass replacement is going to be way more work than needed.
If you have broken latches you should be able to find original replacenent parts but you might wind up buying complete windiw assemblies to get them.

Thanks, Good idea - I'm going to stay away from the rivets. I did find that the windows that did not work had a different crank so could be why they gave out. VTS has what looks like my good operator crank but it is too long.

I could shorten the piece... here is a quote comment from someone who ordered the same item: Comments about Window Operator - Gear 7-11/16": I replaced all 14 operators in my 56 Boles Aero Mira Mar, they work well but I needed to shorten the arm (cut, grind and drill). Attachment holes did not line up with the old Hehr operators, so I had to add a nut and bolt to the bottom. This is the only solution i found that works.
I just have no idea what this person meant by "attachment holes did not line up with the old...operators" Nut and bolt to the bottom? Looking at mine, if I just did the cut, grind, and drill at the same length as the old piece the remaining lil bit parts in the slider should go back in...theoretically.
