SusieQ, is your outside water tank hooked up to an electric pump? Or just the hand pump? The blue tank outside is my gray water tank. I do not have an electric pump. My freshwater is in another 7 gallon blue container under the sink with a hand pump. At this campsite, we had a fresh water connection but I just used my hand pump because we weren't staying long so it was less hoses to pack up.

mel and @nc that yellow cord is my 30 amp power cord. I put my power inlet in the hole where the water fill was because I can't reach the old power connection and since I was replacing it, I just moved it where it was convenient for me. The old power inlet is just a hole covered with the old cover. I may use it to run an outside line from a portable propane water heater in the future or put a cable connection there instead. We ran the cable cord through there but it really looked tacky.

We have a trip booked there for later this year. I think in the fall.
Just got back from a 9 day trip into Florida. Anastasia State Park in St Augustine & Manatee Springs in Chiefland. Both have a very similar landscape to Skidaway except Skidaway had the white/creme sand to the grey sand in Florida.
Been to Skidaway a few times as a day visit but have yet to camp there. Mark that off our list this year.

We just got back from three nights at Skidaway Island state park. It was beautiful but the sand flies were horrible. They felt like flea bites. It was so bad we couldn't sit out. I've spent time in Central American jungles with less of a bug problem. The park is part swamp so it is what it is. A shame, we really like the state park.

Were they actually fly looking or were they small like gnats? We were there in Nov and it was 70 + degrees and no bugs. Little black gnats are our monsters back home on the Gulf. Swamp? Shame on you... lol. It's a beautiful marsh and an important estuary for the eco system. Tide was low when we hiked to the marsh and there were fiddler crabs every where and lots of cool living things like the snails that cling to marsh grass. Guess that's the teacher coming out in me. Don't write it off because of the bugs... try a different time of the year

We spent a week at Skidaway State Park in early April 2017 and were quite pleased. No bugs at that time of year. We found it to be a great location for work out of for day trips into Savannah and to Tybee island. Easy access to lots of things to do and for groceries, etc..
