Not yet but what great ideas!! Just kidding. I DO like decorating but everything must have a purpose. I'm not going to carry around picnic baskets so I can open them campsite and show off grandmas pretty hankies BUT I may have them as curtains.

I can spot a Glamper miles away. It's a gift. There are some people here who bring a truck load of Glamp-accessories everywhere they camp. Please don't tell me you put a mailbox on your camper? Pink Flamingos? A thousand Christmas lights in July? (thread hijackers) We should rename the site Vintage Trailer CrossTalk...

Sheila,........you were asked about pink flamingos! I think it's time you come clean. Hi Larky, You're new to me. If I haven't said it before, Welcome. I like to believe we're a flamingo-Free zone here. (danrhodes created this thread and he's an oldtimer here. We're always messing with his threads. So it's fine.)

I am but a babe in the woods compared to the true dinos such as yourself, I just have a font of questions befitting my trailer toddler status. SusieQ already made a new thread with this link, so it's open season on this thread.

With a name like Larky he is a natural for buying a namesake vintage camper, and boy is he in LUCK! There is a Main-Line camper called the Silver Lark built in the 40's, very few left. Click Newer Post at the bottom left corner when you open the thread for more photos. 1947silverlark.blogspot.com/2009/03/welcome-home-silver-lark.htmlThen there is a vintage Lark camper built in the very early '70's. littlevintagetrailer.com/2014/08/1972-lark-vintage-trailer-for-sale/And finally my favorite that can still be found for sale occasionally, the Trotwood Lark. I suggest that Larky get started finding one of these cute Trotwood Larks! littlevintagetrailer.com/2013/04/65-trotwood-lark-trailer-for-sale/

Thanks for the welcome folks. I have been a lurker for a long time. I'm glad that chcampers finally came up in conversation. His build quality is not perfect, but nothing is these days. If I had the money I would buy one in a heartbeat. They are built very much like our vintage campers that we hold so dear. I might be so bold to say they may last longer than our vintage campers. Tongue and groove lumber for interior walls, polyurethane expanding foam insulation, and alluminum skin. One of the draw backs is that the model my mother owns does not have a drop axle, so that makes it kinda tall. More wind resistance while towing and harder to get in and out of. I'm glad he is building these beauties though. It gives people an alternative to the poor quality construction methods used on new campers. I will also say that the owner Jerry ragon is a very nice guy. He met us at his shop at 7pm on a Saturday and took the time to show us around his facilities. Now back to that closet glamper sheilam, ask her about the porcelain vintage camper village she has sitting on her front counter of her new camper. :-)

(Sigh) ok, ok I do have some decorations that are replicas of vintage campers, a birdhouse, a bank and a camper that lights up. They were presents from my husband and they were on the counter top of the camper for Christmas as I did not decorate the house for Christmas at all this year. They will not go camping with me I promise and they have all been put back where they were. Gesh he's such a tattle tale!
