This is the most common layout for a 12 foot box. Although it provides a bit of floor space, there isn't a good place for a bathroom. If you want a place to put a porta potty, there may be room in the closet, but you won't be able to close the door while you're using it. But if you really out by yourself, you may not need to do that. If you'd like a bathroom, or potty room, you may want to look at a Shasta SC. Another option would be any brand with a ten foot box. They usually have he kitchen in front and a very large closet on the street side of the kitchen that works quite nicely as a potty room, and it's even possible to add a shower if you want.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Hi and Welcome, Fieldmedic19!
In poking around the trailer, no pun intended, get your foot into the dinette bases and gingerly place a foot down in the corner closest to the front wall. That's a good check for the floor. Also, check for loose or rusted bolts on the ends of the outriggers. These are the only bolts that hold the trailer body to the frame. If they spin, with just a hand turn, then you know there is rot under there. The question is how much. However, I like to use the foot in the corner test as described above. Push on the walls and check for give. Check the corners underneath as well as the floor stringer(s) that run along the curbside and streetside walls.
Ask for when the last time the bearings were greased, and if you can, ask to see into the axle by pulling the grease cap.
Looking forward to a report.
Cheers,
Rod

Hamlet , hey, I fit in my closet with the door closed! That has always been the beauty of the Compact for us. I'm 5'4", 120 lbs so I fit just fine, but surprisingly, my 6', 220 lb hubby can also use both the potty and the shower comfortably. For him, I do think the 3 inches we added to the height in the front of the trailer makes it a lot nicer for him. And the extra closet and "dresser" are added bonuses, especially for longer trips.

Jet Travel Trailers were manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah by the Lofgren Company. The owners name was Richard Lofgren, a gentleman of Swedish decent who sadly passed in 2012. The trailers are rumored to be quite well made. I personally own on of his 1969 rear door models. I am always on the hunt for more information and will share when I find it. There is a Jet Travel Trailer page on Facebook, too, if you are interested. It is a closed group so you have to send a request to join.

The JET trailer you are talking about was built by Lofgren Upholstery & Manufacturing Co. in Murray, Utah. They built models 7' wide and 14 and 15.5 feet long and also an 8' wide model 18.5 in length. I believe it was a short lived endeavor and they were only sold in the local area .... i.e didn't have an extensive dealer network. This is all the information I could glean on a visit to the research library at the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum in Elkhart, IN - and that was in a 1966 directory of manufacturers. I own a 14' model that I bought in Ennis Lake, MT with a Utah title - it's in great original condition and now sits for the last 4 years on my property on Black Butte Lake in Meagher County in central Montana.
