I'd love to tell you. But I am not allowed by law to comment on "glamping" any more!... Do a quick search of the term, "Sisters on the fly". It should give you a good start. The term means "glamour camping". It is a cool hobby that can become an obsession. It is really just a twist on the obsession that we all share, that sometimes includes pink paint and frilly curtains. Uh-oh. I fear I may have said too much.

I think it's too funny when people pull up at the state park with one car towing the camper and another hauling the yard art. A utility trailer just for glamping material. You must admit, they have style.

OK I think I figured it out. Glamping is the stuff we do to our vintage camper like the stick on flower paper around the propane tank and old 1960s plastic dish set and yard art and banners. I don't have a clue why anyone would what a banner that reminds me of used car lots. I assume this is for folks that like being in the spot light. I have seen people bring portable picket fence, flowers in pots, bushes in pots, strings of lights, wind mills, pink long leg birds, red carpet, old lawn furniture.

I love " banner that reminds me of used car lot". I never understood why those pendant banners were glamping worthy, either. Just makes me feel old that I remember the OK used car lots having them.

Don't be so quick to stereotype! It seems to me that a lot of you guys are pretty into shiny things and nicely stained wood, which seems like glamping to me!

Is this glamping?
I would feel stupid to really take all this stuff camping it looks like a traveling mini museum. LOL. I will take my 6 foot tall chicken camping next time we go. I want some of those old antique metal chairs they are a lot more comfortable to set in than any fold out chairs I have found but they will be hard to haul.
I built this rooster from scrap wood I had laying around in the work shop. I did a google search for rooster photos and used one for a pattern. The hardest part was laying out a 1" graph on the chicken photo and a 6" graph on the plywood then drawing it to scale and cutting it out with the jig saw. I sanded the ruff edges then painted it. This chicken probably cost me 50 cents. Plywood is $13.50 per sheet, 1 sheets will make 2 more roosters. It only takes a 4x4 sheet to make a rooster. It will be easy to trace around this one, cut it out and paint it. 3 roosters will be fun to take camping. The round base is a free wire spool from the dumpster of a industrial wire company. Is this stupid or what. LOL.
