I'm having a hard time finding 1/8" birch 4x8 sheets. Can anyone confirm that is what I should use for a 64' Shasta? I'v tried all chain stores and the local lumbar yard but no one has it.
thanks!

You have to google it. Someone can order it for you and yes 1/8 inch birch is what you use unless yours was made with Japanese Ash... Make sure you know the difference.

I have a 66 Shasta. All of the paneling, walls and ceiling is 1/4". I did use some 1/8" on the cabinets when refacing them. I guess they used the thiner stuff on the earlier models. I did find a lumber yard that could supply both in birch. It is a local lumber yard in California. All of the birch I got is from Thailand.

I buy from Ganahl Lumber. They have a few locations here. You can only use 1/4 inch on flat work. It won't bend very well around a radius like the tops of the older models have.

My website is posted on my You Tube page also but here it is. www.cannedhamtrailers.comIt's a lot easier to find specific videos on my website for the stuff you need to know about now because they are all listed with descriptions and links.

GRRR... no one has it. I've called several lumber yards over the past few days and non can get it. The closest I can find is in Detroit (I'm in Chicago).

You might want to call Ganahl Lumber in California. Ask them if they can help out. Maybe they can let your lumber yard know where to order it from. You might even be able to order it from here and have it show up there. I know that my last order that I happened to call in just to make sure they had enough, was prepackaged for shipping. I had ordered 14 sheets and they were all brand new and beautifully selected and all packaged up for shipping so I know it can be shipped. Just google Ganahl Lumber.

Found it!! Owl Lumbar in Lombard, Oak Lawn & Des Plaines, IL if anyone else runs into this problem. Congrats! Yep, sometimes this stuff just takes a while to locate. We live in a world now where the internet has taken over and instant gratification has become the norm. Not too many people know how to be patient anymore. But persistence always works.

Is this the same as Radius bending plywood? Columbia has a product called Purebond that is either 2-ply or 3, no added formaldehyde.

Number Ten.. I found it by calling a lumbar distributer in the area (ones that don't sell to the public). They were very nice and shared which lumber yards they distributed the 1/8" too. Good Luck!
