Our 64 Astroflyle has home to many mice before we were given it. The PO had new bench seats made approximeately 5 years ago but the mice urine has ruined them. I would like to rebuild them. The springs and most of the wood is salvagable but we will need all new batting and upolestry supples. Has anyone done their own seats and if so where did you order the supplies???

Gone Kayaking has an excellent tutorial here that explains how she did hers and exactly what you would need to purchase. I have got my supplies together but have not begun on the seats yet. I am not sure where it is located but I know it was posted since the move from vstf. Good luck.

i do upholstery for a living. so if you have any other questions i can answer.. and as far as this question best place is gunna be a upholstery shop near you. they can oftgen order you material with theres to save on shipping witch saves you money. and when i sell foam i sell it for a fraction of the price that your local craft store does check a shop first also i personally wouldnt use batting it decomposes fast compared to foam

aguadream.blogspot.com/2012/09/reupholstering-dinette-seats.htmlHere's the link to the upholstery tutorial. My suggestion is to definitely take lots of pictures and measurements of what you currently have, even if you plan on not keeping it. Those seats go together kind of weird because of the hinge so sometimes it's easier to understand the tutorial if you have seen it for yourself already. Make sense? I'm having to re-do mine too because of mice. I'm a big fan of just dousing everything in bleach. Lol

Feel free to give me a yell if you get stuck. I'm up to my eyeballs at work so may not get back to you for a few days. It is actually pretty easy compared to a lot of the other stuff. Also want to make sure that your machine can handle the fabric you are going to use....which is why I decided ultimately not to use vinyl and went with sunbrella instead.
