I have completely gone over my 47 trailer an I have never found a number stamped on the frame. There is a hull tag next to the door with a 3 digit v # but not what I am looking for. Where were the numbers stamped on the frame in 1947? were they stamped? Any ideas at all? Thanks in advance.

So I just left AAA with my questions on the trailer stamp Location. I was told that often they didnt stamp the frames back then. everything was based off the hull number on the side of the trailer? Anybody know for sure?

Trailers back then didn't have a VIN # like a modern car the hull number is most likely what you use. Even trailers in the late 60s only had a letter or two and a small number.

The tag on the side of the trailer by the entry door has a serial number box on it with a 3 digit number and a Model number box with the letter V stamped in it. I guess that is everything I need? Thanks again
