Hello all..
Some of you know me from the old board.. You know I've put many hours in to refurbishing my 1971 Airflyte.
I completely understand that I am not going to get what I have in to this camper and I'm OK with that..
But I would appreciate any candid responses as to what you think my camper would sell for..
I've been slowly refurbing for 2+ years now.. some (but not all) work listed below:
-gutted the inside down to the studs and reframed about 60% of the camper
-removed all windows, cleaned them up, and reinstalled with correct butyl putty tape
-all windows work the way they should, all knobs replaced, all glass good, all screens good
-removed all J rails and resealed with correct butyl putty tape
-new subfloor and old school black and white tiles
-new paint (home sprayed, but looks very presentable)
-new Fantastic fan
-new 12v power supply to run the Fantastic fan
-completely insulated and taped for air-tightness
-all old vents removed and replaced or covered and sealed
-interior rebuilt in amber shellac stained Birch
-new 100th anniversary Formica laminated countertop and table
-original door handle with keys in good working condition, original screen door as well
-original wings refurbished
-all exterior lighting replaced and converted to LED
-all wiring replaced, everything works
-has 12 volt puck lights throughout, also 120v rear lights, counter plugs, bathroom lights and plugs
-stand up AC / Dehumidifier installed and vented out the rear, drains out hose through floor
-electric only fridge installed and insulated/sealed in place
-city water inlet and drain outlet installed on the rear above bumper
Rear area is full time large bed with retractable bunk above that.
Upper bunk has a little cubby for personal items and a small LED nightlight with switch.
Exterior trunk storage under rear half of bed, interior under bed storage in the front half.
Dinette drops down in to bed as well like the original interior did.
NO LEAKES. Camper is dry, smells good. We are non smokers and no pets have been in the camper.
Tires are 3 years old, bearings were packed when tires were replaced. New moon caps and rings.
ALL propane items were removed. No gas lamp inside, No oven, No furnace.. No tanks on the front of the camper.
We use a Coleman stove outside (or inside with the Fan running high when raining) and that works great.
We use a small ceramic heater when its cold.. more than enough heat for this size camper.
Door fronts for counter are not done as I just did the AC install last week.
My plan is to use a curtain for the sale.
Cushions are the originals from 1971. Obviously they do not match.
I may wrap them in a red or cream fabric but they will not be 'custom fit'.
Tows like a dream.. nice and stable. I tow it with a 2003 Durango (small 4.7 V8) and you can hardly tell it's there.
OK, that's about it.. I have no idea what to ask for this camper.
Please be honest in your responses as to what you feel someone should pay for it..
I'm not asking for an inflated value.. I'm looking for a real world price that should bring a fair and quick sale.
Here's a photo slideshow of pictures (not in order) but they show how it looks..

ps. If you are interested and want to make a fair offer, I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Kev
