Hi, I remember there was a thread on the old forum related to rivets and had recommendations for tools to apply them. I tried to search over there but no luck. Does anyone still have this information? Or new information? Thanks.

Riveting always sucks because the tool jambs. So when I had the chance, I aquired an air riveter. It's quick and doesn't jamb. I love it. Expensive though. Try to find one used. I haven't found a manual one that does not jamb.

That one looks like it's made better than any of the hand ones I have had. I still like the air one though LOL... No squeezing.

Gonna check into the air riveter... my hands are pretty beat up. Sooner or later, I'll need it.

I use an air riveter from Harbor Freight and love it . It is the more expensive of the two they sell, the cheaper one seems to have a lot of problems. The only thing will cause problems with the one I have is the plastic jar that catches the stems. After it gets a few in it unless you are using it in a vertical position the stems will fall back inside the riveter causing it to jam. I just use mine with out the catch jar and no problems. It not only saves your hands it is much much faster than a hand riveter.
