By "over here" you are on the West Coast. You could pick up my skins, I'll get the birch, Meet in the Middle! UHHHHhhh. LOL If i was near the west coast I would give that a try, except for I would haul back with Me a load of 1/8th inch that would make My one ton pigup squat. Distribute it to the good folks out there that is in need of the stuff. Nope, I`m in eastern Montana. a hundred miles from the North Dakota border. Out here it is like being in the boonies. LOL Most every thing a person needs has to be ordered in. I will need a complete new roof for My camper. I thought I might have a semi trailer roof lined up. If that falls through I`ll be paying freight from Hemet Valley to Eastern Montana. I dont yet know just how many panels I will need but I`m thinking freight might be sort of pricey. I have a shed chocked full of old automobile parts, We could make a trade. LOL

About that shed, well I'm in Michigan, Dad worked for GM, Husband works at Ford.(me too, before kids) ................automotive parts are pretty plentiful around here, but thanks for the offer.

LOL I'd be in on the great birch buy, I mean I am right in the middle of the west coast and you all in Montana and Michigan being in Idaho. I'm having trouble finding any more good birch for the cupboards and stuff other than the walls. Sam and I just might have to make a weekend run over to the Seattle area for the store in that area if I keep striking out.

haha, in Maine I have to drive 2+ hours just to place the special order! And the same distance to buy aluminum for roof skins.

I called them a while back and the only birch they had was baltic, 5x5 sheets? Do they also carry 4x8 normally? I don't know about that...they are very pleasant to deal with if you call...

I ordered 7 sheets from Menards and got them picked up last week. Hopefully this weekend I'll get to put some on the actual camper.

Did you get 1/8" panels from Menards, royboyprods? Yes, sorry for the delay getting back to you. The Menards part number is 1252003 if that hasn't been posted yet.

If anyone is near Sacramento California, I can get a killer deal on most 1/8 sheet goods. Anything from Birch,Red & White Oak, Cherry, Maple, Walnut and Cedar. My father in law works for a hardwood company here and I can get this pretty cheap. Only problem for me is figuring out which one to go with.

Owl Lumber in Lombard Il(near Chicago). I think we paid $22 dollars for a 4x8 sheet of 1/8 birch plywood. Last purchase was May 2015. I am in the New lenox/Joliet area. I use Owl for specialty house trim and lumber for our hardwood flooring biz. That was the next place I was going to check for 1/8"! It's going be between them and home depot for class c birch veneer underlayment/ furniture grade 1/4" which has excellent bending capability for the roof of my canned ham @ $13 a sheet.

I could use a sheet or 2 of 1/8" birch. I haven't had much luck findnig anything in my area of SW PA. Someone did tell me about a place about 5 miles from me, but I haven't stopped in yet. Their website does list a few items I could probably use www.rockler.com/search/go?w=Birch&asug=&sli_uuid=&sli_sid=
