Was wondering if anyone knew anything about the age and value of the combination? Thanks in advance.

Is that a GAS stove? IT looks like a Kerosene Stove.. The round port holes have a wick assembly for them, but then I look at what looks like the burner element with the holes in it? Is that part of the stove too? From the oven perhaps...You got me. I’ve' never seen a Kerosene one in a camper. Kerosene stove and oven where "in", back in the 20's and 30's.. the first people with power only had lights.. not stoves and heaters. Wow.. it's a find either way. I'm curious too..

Mitchell, this does not add too much to actual information but it has just under 24 hours left on ebay. If you open the thread and zoom over the images it will start a slide show including a pic with the burners in place. Looks like a gas stove to me from the 1930's. Magic Chef brand started in 1929. It was probably an apartment model that may have been used in an early camper. www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1930s-Magic-Chef-3-Burner-Apartment-Stove-CREAM-/221775121110No matter what kind of gas set-up was originally used, I would think there are professionals who could advise how to retrofit the gas valves/regulator to accommodate propane. Might be pricy/time consuming to find any missing pieces, if it is not complete. I am assuming the burner piece sitting on top of the range top in your pic is the burner for the oven. The seller says if you have any questions send an e-mail, if you "contact the seller", but the numbers on the inside top left corner of the range top when open are typical of auction lot designations. I believe the seller picked this up at an auction and has no first hand knowledge of it's operation because it is not a family heirloom. Seller has two other items for auction ending at the same time and they also appear to be unrelated purchases similar to what would come up in a local hometown auction in Kalona, Iowa (not ebay). Here is a thread from an antique stove restorer who does not sell parts but lists companies who do and at the top of the list is the Antique Stove Association made up of Members, apparently like us, but who are into antique stoves. If you contact them I'll bet you might make some new friends interested in telling you about your stove. antiquestoves.net/dir/other-stove-services/22-diy-stove-articles/35-stove-parts

Wow, thanks a lot. I'm not sure why no one would want this e-bay item?
It seems that it would work great in a vintage camper. if i had room in mine i would be all over it , if i din't already have one. i just picked this on up for a later project .

I agree mitchell...it is more expensive than the usual $40 - $50 Princess stove oven combos in a lot of the late 50's and 60's campers, but would be very cool in the right rebuild. In the 50's a popular floor model apartment sized stove oven combo was a Dixie (brand) stove. Those can be had for under $200, so this one on ebay is imho overpriced at the current opening bid (untested "as is") but I'm guessing someone will pony up the minimum at the last second.

This is such a Cool Stove!
I'm thinking the burners are too large for a vintage camper, unless it's a BIG ONE. (lots of space above and a wall vent)
It would work very well in an old 30s/early 40s park model.

Vikx - wouldn't the park models have had ovens?

That is an oven under the burner top. mitchell's had legs at one time I believe.

I think Bruce is right. And those legs are necessary to keep the surroundings cool...
