I want some hubcaps but don't know if they can be fit to my wheels. Don't see any places for the moons to grab, other than three open notches. Where do I find info and product?

Vintage Trailer Supply sells them and a few other places online. Measure both wheels and measure each one three times. I miss measured once and on our current trailer the two wheels weren't the same. I ended up buying new VTS wheels and baby moons. They do grab on the three notches.

On a related note, I have the original hubcap moon thingys but they are steel (I think) and pretty rusted up. They are also quite deep, and I'm not sure that the aftermarket ones would fit over the part of the axle that sticks out. Has anyone had their originals rechromed?

Chrome work is very expensive indeed. And if you do decide to do any chrome work, the more you do at one time the less it costs. I believe that is because a huge part of the cost is recycling the chemicals or disposal of said chemicals. At least that is what I was told. But I do know that you can save money by doing more at once. So get all your friends together and get all the stuff they want chromed together at the same time and head down to the chrome shop for an estimate.
