Great Pics!! That's some stout bracing. What's on the underside of the floor?

Sorry, I should have been more clear, I meant the trailer floor underbody. Masonite? Fiberboard? Other? Or will you be getting to that eventually in this thread?

Greg, my next photo update will show how the frame was repaired after the removal. Straighten the frame rails, cut out all the gussets, and cracks, additional cross members added for step, bicycle rack, and corner stabilizers. Then it will be all welded back together, primed and painted before a new 3/4" floor is installed. Eventually, I hope it all fits back under the body, LOL.

I don't get it, I still can't get any photos to load from my phone either.................. The folks across the path from us have one of these (except with a dial) in their entry. They've had it for 70 years and still use it. Now if they could only make a "Smart" phone that lasted that long! I use one all week at work and am perfectly happy to go back to the "stupid" version on the weekends! That is why Western Electric no longer makes phones. The companies discovered that they could make more selling new phones than providing service if the phones had a very short life span. Can you imagine Apple if they could only sell you one new phone every 70 or 80 years.

Do you do your own welding? That's one skill I have no experience with and wish I did. If so I'd be doing some of those exact improvements to my Aloha frame but since I have to pay for it and need to keep my costs from spiraling out control it will be left undone.

Now I only visit here once in a while, mostly to see what John is up to. But John, for as smart and skilled as you are, and no pictures??? And Vikx has to upload shots for you??? Next time we meet up I'll show you how to use a camera, . Kidding aside though, now that I have finished the Lil Loafer I'm curious to see what you have done to this Deville, looks kind of naked there. I like the simple framework you built to hold it up, it was your description of that method that inspired my support system on the Loafer.
