I'm pretty sure that's not a Shasta.

This is definitely not a Shasta. But it is also not a home-made trailer either. It has some really nice features. The P O modifications are rather evident. I do not believe the stove belongs where it is. The outer wall looks to have a refrigerator vent there, and looks like it might have a roof vent over that space (?), as well as possibly an original electrical outlet there. It looks like it probably had a electric/propane combo fridge there. I'd be fairly sure the stove was on the opposite side, and that there is a stove vent rearward of the window.
I am not much help as far as what brand or model it actually is, but gotta say I like it, and would love seeing more details. I think you are going to have fun with it, from rebuilding and designing to camping and sleeping in it.

That was our thought, too. Based on what we're reading, we plan to do a complete overhaul and reinstall a kitchen back on the street side (there's just a bench there now). We're cleaning out a spot in our barn and will begin dismantling in a few weeks - will definitely post pics!

well it does say "Rover" - maybe Kenskill SportsRover? Thanks for the lead on Kenskill! I'll start investigating. I just assumed the boys I bought it from "stickered it" with a Land Rover decal since the lettering looks like the rover style. knock that snow off above the front window and see if there's a decal... Sorry, no decals. Just three lights along front and three on back. We're in Georgia and got blasted with 7 inches of snow last night, but I'll clean it off and double check to see if there's any sticker residue that may provide a hint. Anyone have any luck using their MAHA decals for identification purposes? Also, this aluminum runs straight along the bottom with no wheel well indentation. I haven't seen another like that so I'm assuming this is one of the PO's mods. Lastly, this camper has wide lip edge trim fastened with pop rivets (then siliconed, ugh!). Is this a mod or original? Thank y'all for your help - I'm excited to get started! While researching and planning, we're cleaning out a spot in the barn to work unhindered by our crazy spring weather. We'll get pics up on our progress.

It's going to be awesome when you're done. We like the multi colored stipes on the outside! ;-) How long is the box? Is there a potty/shower room?

It looks like it will be a fun camper. Not a Shasta, but it does share some of the characteristics of a mid-60's single door Yellowstone.

The multicolor stripes led us to think that it might be two trailers cobbled together (and that still might be the case), but after closer inspection it looks like the color band aluminum is uniform all the way around. The box is 16 1/2', and combined with the trailer tongue 19'. No potty but looking this window makes me think this might have been a shower location - not sure though... what do you think?

I'll post some pics on their forum (if they have one) to see what we find. It's safe to say that this is the most helpful BBS I've ever used. Thanks again!

Just to wrap it up, we're going to call it a 1964ish Yellowstone. We're basing this on this video - m.youtube.com/watch?v=CzeHH5fiRR4 - the body style, layout, cabinets, and the door pulls match exactly. Windows don't seem to be an exact match, so we're going to keep seeking information. Thank you all for your input. We'll post update pics as available.

Ok- sorry to bring this post alive, but for posterity's sake, I wanted to let anyone looking at this camper to know the actual model. The truth revealed itself when i removed the air conditioner from the rear window. I could just barely make out the letters, but saw a distinct _ _ RRIS. A quick Google search led me to Norris, which built this style camper from the mid-60's until early 70's. Based on the limited research I've done, I believe this is a 1965 Norris. I'll upload the identifying photo when I get a chance.

Well there you go, now you can put that to rest. I very much enjoy seeing the lesser known manufacturers and models. They sometimes do some things very different.
