I have been to your profile many times now and tried everything and can't find how to private message... my only worry about putting the resin over top of the existing counter is that my trim will not fit afterwards. . what do you think.?

If it doesn't fit, you can put new trim on it really easy. Trim is not expensive.

Leslie, sorry, but you need 10 posts to PM members, which you now have. We put that restriction in place when the members were flooded with spam PMs. Let me know if you have any more troubles.

I have fruitlessly searched for vintage countertops that I like. Since the coral and turquoise boomerang was discontinued, I haven't found anything I like. My dream pattern would be "Textolite Nugget".. shown below. Of course not available since the 1960's. But... in my research I came across this epoxy resin that is used for countertops and allows you to sink in anything you want to it. So I have decided to make my own "Nugget" pattern with a cream painted background, a bottle of gold glitter, and the gold starbursts that I will pick out of this confetti that I ordered. Has anyone else made epoxy resin counters or table? I would love to see your photos, and hints. Thanks. Have you tried it yet?

No, I am still in the middle of my re-build. I am six months away from this project, but am collecting the necessary supplies so I am ready to go.

We are working on our counter top now as well. However, I found this boomerang pattern and was able to order it from Lowe's. It was $149 for a 4x8 sheet which is half of what I found it online at other sites.
