Save everything for templates. Take lots of pictures, both close up of what you're working on, and a bit farther away, for perspective. Measure stuff as you pull it out. After a few months, or years for some of us, things get hazy and pictures and notes help reawaken sleepy synapses. Have fun, no matter how crappy the current job may seem. Actually those will be the moments/days you'll look back on most fondly down the road.

Before you get too far along, you might research the NSSO site for information on axles. A lot of Scotty rebuilds include a new axle with a special drop/rise. Not sure of the company, but it's listed on the Scotty site.

Nice project! Glad your showing some of the problems that can come with a rebuild / update, and solutions to overcoming them. Our little Airfloat has a similar issue in the shower delt with by the factory in the same way, only smaller and out of 1952 aluminum of course

Any updates on this I am currently looking at doing this upgrade to a 69 Serro and the wheel well is going to be an issue. Love to see how it ended up and know how it works!

Making some progress on the Scotty. I do have a question for other Scotty owners..... Does the height of the closet/bathroom cabinet match the wall height? All my measerments show the cabinet 1/2" taller than the side wall. It's not making sense to me. Any help/suggestions would be great! Here are pictures of the lower curb side cabinet.
